There are passages that never quite feel right — no matter how many times we've worked on them. Spots where we brace and tighten, even though we know that isn't helping. And the moment the music gets harder, we contract.
In this 75-minute Alexander Technique exploration, we'll look at what actually happens in our bodies when things get difficult — and discover that there's often more room available to us than we realize. Through guided practices informed by Alexander Technique, we'll explore what it means to expand rather than contract, and how that can bring more ease to the passages that challenge us most.
This class is for pianists of all kinds.
